September is Arthritis Awareness Month, and TELUS wanted to make sure that everybody knew it. Through their partnership with the Arthritis Society of Canada, they put us in touch with young campers Emily and Jenna. Two of more than 24,000 children in Canada living with juvenile arthritis (aka “JA”), the girls met at Camp JoinTogether in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley. Through the magic of summer camp, and the support of other kids who also have arthritis, a friendship bloomed that brings both girls more confidence and strength by the day.
When this video launched, TELUS pledged to donate $1 for each ‘like’ it received to the Arthritis Society. By our last check, that meant more than $200,000.
One Youtube commenter probably said it best: “I can’t thank Telus enough for doing this. It feels so major to have such a well-known business supporting us JA-ers. It literally made me tear up. Thank you, Telus.”
